The Anthology of Georgian Hymns aims to collect hymns preserved in various notated manuscripts, arrange them in accordance with the Typikon (liturgical handbook), edit them, and publish them in printed form. It is also planned to transcribe the preserved audio recordings of the hymns into sheet music and publish them. Work on the publication has been underway since 2016. To date, 29 volumes have been published, and the work continues. The anthology was initiated by Svimon (Jiki) Jangulashvili, choirmaster (in Georgian: რეგენტი) of the choir of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. It is edited by Svimon (Jiki) Jangulashvili and Levan Veshapidze, head of the Georgian Chant Department at the Anzor Erkomaishvili State Folklore Centre. The Anthology of Georgian Hymns is published by the Anzor Erkomaishvili State Folklore Centre with the support of the Georgian Chant Foundation and the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Georgia. The published volumes are available on the website of the Georgian Folklore magazine:
